Greetings of peace, welcome.
To think only of the practical benefit of wisdom and technology is vulgar.
– Miyamoto Musashi, Spiritually Productive Master of the Way from Classical Japanese Era
In this blogpost I will shed light on the relationship between wisdom, technology and spiritual productivity to help my readers understand how they can benefit from their own spiritual productivity as a processive result of attaining wisdom and technical expertise in their chosen fields.
We know that humans are spiritual beings. We come from one spirit. We come from One God. Hence, we all are connected in our essence to each other human who ever lived. Human form doesn’t change the essence.
When we are spiritually productive, the process of wisdom attainment is flowing through us in our time. It is a process with expanded effect and directly relates to our consciousness quality. In easier terms, the more conscious we are of the present moment and show it the comportment it deserves, the more our time expands in wisdom.
Now, the nature of time is cyclical.
The most productive people on earth in all fields have been those who respect the cyclical nature of time, and in respecting it, they believe it beyond an atom of doubt.
Hence, the process of their growth is never stunted.
This growth is that in wisdom and technical skill for the most productive people.
There is no selfishness in such growth of the spirit because: with selfishness, nobody can even begin to respect the cyclical nature of time. Vulgarity of such disrespect due to selfishness shall be treated in light of the following pointers. This treatment will point us to start growing in our journey of spiritual productivity.
- Know that, my reader, we all in the 21st century are not as wise as our predecessors. The reason for that is we are hyper-technical and tend to lose context of history. Cure: intend to appreciate history.
- Know that, my reader, we all in the 21st century are not as connected to nature as our predecessors. The reason is that we are living in the machine age or, in René Guénon’s terms, the iron age. Cure: intend to appreciate nature.
- Know that, my reader, we all in the 21st century are more duped by the material than our predecessors. The first two pointers act as reasons for this mistake. Cure: self-education on history and nature; and to intend to be unbothered by the material.
